What is coin? Coin is also known by other names such as Altcoin, Cryptocurrency Coin. This is a form of digital currency, considered equivalent to currency. It is created by cryptography, storing value over time, shared between participants on the blockchain network.
Coin possesses features such as payment unit, exchange, rewards, security, administration, etc. of the issuing blockchain itself. Each blockchain has only 1 type of coin such as Bitcoin’s blockchain has BTC, Ethereum has ETH, Litecoun has LTC.
However, what a coin is also has some other interpretations. Some people think it refers to tokens listed on centralized exchanges (CEX).
